Define use before choosing plants
Have the designer translate your objective into an extensive build-up or a more developed garden. ZinCo’s Sedum and Toiture Jardin systems illustrate different planting and load levels. A system name does not approve your structure, and planting does not automatically permit terrace use.
Obtain the actual project weight
ZinCo sheets state water-saturated weight. Request the figure for the proposed assembly with its layers and equipment, then have building compatibility checked. Clarify delivery too: temporary substrate storage needs planning.
Protect the technical layers
Buildwise calls for root-suitable waterproofing, checks before covering and mechanical protection. Specify the project layers and compatibility. Arrange a report before planting: a photograph of greenery does not record the waterproofing beneath it.
Plan water, access and care
Ask how outlets remain inspectable, who follows plant establishment and what happens during dry periods. Specify weeding, replacement, safe access and possible irrigation. An extensive roof should not be purchased on a promise of zero maintenance.
Coordinate solar equipment
Where panels are planned, request a joint layout covering positions, access, plant care and electrical work. Ask for assumptions behind any claimed output gain. Do not include assumed extra yield in financing before project assessment.
