Choose for the intended loft use
CODIFAB distinguishes trusses for unused roof space and configurations for habitable lofts. Trusses therefore do not rule out conversion; the selected design matters. Specify space and loads without equating a raised ceiling with a habitable floor.
Supply information before manufacture
Identify stairs, windows, ducts, equipment and already planned future changes. Request the assumptions requiring confirmation before production. Coordinate masonry and other supports; delivery matching an incomplete drawing may still miss the actual project needs.
Receive a documented package
Request member identification, erection drawings and a delivery list. Assign design, manufacture, site receipt and installation to identified parties. Agree handling of transport-damaged members before incorporation.
Plan stability during and after erection
