Price the functional scope
Separate equipment, floor changes, openings, services and reinstatement. Where possible request two offers against the same specification. Keep comfort or decoration options separate from assessed needs.
Distinguish funding routes
Long-term care insurance and special-adaptation support have different procedures. For the latter, Guichet.lu describes family and financial circumstances and interaction with long-term care insurance. Have the case and eligible expenses examined; do not assume full combined funding.
Calculate personal costs
Request tax-inclusive total, confirmed eligible expenses, awarded amount and payment dates. Check who orders and pays under the procedure. Add uncovered work and selected options. An application is distinct from an award decision.
Plan maintenance and changing needs
Identify replaceable parts, cleaning, planned checks and possible service costs. Specify adaptable elements if needs change without promising no future work will be necessary.
