Apartment renovation costs: access, utilities and finishes
Apartments with the same floor area may require different work. Separate work in your unit, interventions affecting the building and access logistics when comparing offers. We do not have a verified local average to apply to your floor area.

Define private work and shared-service interfaces
Identify where each service ends: a connection inside the apartment, shared riser, ventilation or external element. The housing ministry describes general-meeting decisions for work affecting common parts or the building’s appearance. Ask the managing agent which decision your project needs; their coordination role does not replace this check.
Have access inspected before comparing totals
Provide the floor level, usable passage dimensions and delivery arrangements. Agree on protection, storage and waste removal with the contractor and building management. Request a description of access equipment and its hire period rather than adding an assumed flat surcharge.
Describe equipment relocations
For a relocated kitchen or bathroom, ask how connections will be assessed and what can stay. For new flooring, specify the substrate, preparation and proposed acoustic solution. Choosing a finish from a catalogue does not define this work.

What makes the price vary
Floor level and passages
Confirm the handling equipment actually needed.
Relocating wet rooms
Separate reused connections from routes still needing assessment.
Substrate condition
Distinguish visible findings from checks after removal.
Building interventions
Clarify who orders, authorises and pays for the work involved.
Indicative scenarios
If considering a grant, identify the scheme and check the work, your circumstances and preliminary procedures. A quote request does not confirm eligibility.
Frequently asked questions
Is the managing agent’s agreement enough?
Do not assume so. Identify affected parts and required decisions using the governing rules and project details. Any municipal procedures are a separate question.
Does the apartment’s age require full electrical replacement?
Age alone does not describe its condition. Request an assessment of the project and necessary adaptations rather than inferring complete replacement from the construction year.
How can I compare different protection arrangements?
Specify the areas protected, installation, upkeep and making good. Align scopes before comparing amounts.
What duration should I allow?
Request a schedule after assessing the apartment and building constraints. No universal meeting or construction duration is established here.
