Cost: extraction and damp problems
Separate investigation, extraction installation and possible repairs. A device price does not cover a damp problem whose source is still unknown.
Editorial update on 18 September 2026

Separate investigation and installation
Itemise visits, proposed measurements, report and technical proposal. Ask whether the assessment is charged separately and whether further investigation requires your agreement.
Include work beyond the device
Compare power supply, penetrations, duct, outlet and finishes. Identify excluded work on causes or surfaces. Where uncertainty remains, request a diagnostic stage before a supposedly comprehensive fixed-price solution.
Agree completion checks
Request checks, handover documents and maintenance instructions for the installed model. Clarify local procedures and permissions for shared property or façades. French references do not establish regulatory compliance in Luxembourg.

Frequently asked questions
Will a fan remove every damp mark?
No. Establish the cause and the proposed solution’s limits before accepting work.
Can a product sheet guarantee silence?
Ask about measurement conditions and installation. Do not compare acoustic figures without their context.
