A price per bed is insufficient: specify internal dimensions, usable growing depth, material, base and filling. Separate construction from planting and identify who handles sowing and aftercare. No particular number of beds guarantees a family's food supply.

Compare usable volume
Specify bed count, internal dimensions and growing depth. An empty decorative planter cannot be compared with a filled, planted installation. Identify included base and wall components and how they can be replaced.
Price the delivery route
Separate preparation, structure, filling, delivery, handling and removal. State stairs, passage widths and distance from unloading. Confirm whether assembly and moving soil all the way to the beds are included.
Identify later expenditure
Separate plants or seed, watering equipment, selected protection and future visits. Request a reason for substrate replacement or additions; one schedule for every bed does not justify the expense.
