Define the comparison unit
Record length and height for each wall, then panel or frame counts. For area pricing, state deductions for openings and treatment of returns. Identical lengths may describe very different layouts.
Separate supply and installation
List panels, profiles, accessories, preparation, fixing and finish. Check whether the top rail and skirting are included or separate. Ask for waste calculated from the drawing rather than assuming a quantity discount.
Compare matching scopes
Include room protection, necessary equipment adjustments, agreed painting, cleaning and taxes. Compare schedules after measurement. A frames-only quote is not equivalent to covering panels.
