Quote: basement waterproofing
E.g.: cellar that takes on water after the rain

Photograph marks, note when they appear and disclose known work or leaks. Request investigation before choosing a product. A stain, smell or white deposit alone cannot select tanking, drainage or injection.
Ask for the diagnosis
AQC identifies defects in coatings, drainage, junctions and surrounding water disposal among basement moisture causes. Request evidence for the proposed diagnosis and outstanding checks. Different defects may require different responses.
Compare suitable approaches
Ask why work is proposed inside, outside or around the building. Define expected exposure, substrate compatibility and system limits. Difficult external access alone does not justify tanking, nor does drainage remedy all moisture.
Describe the complete system
Detail wall-floor junctions, cracks, joints and penetrations. For drainage, identify disposal and inspection access. A protective layer, waterproof barrier and collection system have different functions.
Prepare existing-building work
Before digging near foundations or altering a slab, request structural checks, service locations and protection measures. Define access and any necessary neighbouring-property agreement. Excavation around the entire house is not assumed.
Define handover and follow-up
Request checks before concealment, documents, maintenance and the response to returning marks. Put commitments and exclusions in writing. Water treatment does not automatically approve a new residential use.
Indicative prices in Luxembourg
On quotation
The price should describe a defined system and measured quantities. Distinguish walls, floor, junctions and any drainage network. Comparing square-metre and linear-metre rates without scope does not identify a suitable solution.
Subsidies and grants
No grant is deducted from the budget shown here. If a quote mentions support, request the exact scheme and confirmation of your eligibility before including it in financing.
Frequently asked questions
Is drainage always better?
No. Compare solutions compatible with ground, building, disposal options and use.
Must treatments be combined?
No. Request justification for each component instead of automatically adding tanking, injection and drainage.
Does injection stop all ingress?
Do not assume that. Specify the phenomenon addressed, compatible substrates and limits.
When can finishes be installed?
Set system- and material-specific checks and drying criteria. A uniform waiting period does not establish readiness.
