Break down preparation
Separate assessment, possible removal, repairs and system-approved preparation. Moisture or cracks are not solved simply by choosing a finish labelled traditional.
Identify decoration and protection
Request references, layers, sample, colour and finish. Separate included work and visual variants. Higher gloss is not automatically better suited to use.
Price special areas and organisation
Identify joints, thresholds, skirting, corners, drainage and necessary waterproofing. Specify protection, access, handover and downtime; one drying period is not a complete schedule.

No. Continuous appearance does not remove necessary substrate and system joints.
Is varnish enough for a shower?
Do not assume so. Specify waterproofing and junctions for the complete system.
Can any old tiles be covered?
Check condition, adhesion, moisture, levels and compatibility with the chosen system.
Are fine cracks normal?
Have their cause and development examined rather than automatically calling them patina.
Does thin material avoid door adjustments?
Not always. Total height includes preparation and other layers, not only decoration.
