Compare cost over the contract term
Record each visit price, tariff changes and commitment period. Add excluded services before comparing contracts and one-off visits. A multiyear agreement is not automatically cheaper.

Identify maintenance operations, possible inspections, consumables and supplied documents. The Environment Agency distinguishes maintenance and inspection: check whether each service is included or charged separately.
