Measure the area actually screened
Specify length, height, corners, openings and panel reference and openness. A patio-only proposal is not equivalent to screening a complete boundary. Request a total for the drawing with quantities.
Separate screening and structure
List filling material, posts, fixings, foundations, preparation and removal. Identify reinforcement to existing supports instead of assuming none. Include finishes and reinstatement of ground, wall or patio.
Budget for planting and care
Specify species, number, delivery size, ground preparation, planting and included aftercare. Request written plant replacement and screen maintenance terms. Compare cleaning, access and replaceable parts; composite or resin does not mean no follow-up.
