Identify trees and work
Number trees on plans or photos. Specify each objective, affected branches or crown area and any assessment deliverable. Two proposals labelled pruning can describe very different work.
Detail site organisation
Ask for access equipment, required space and protection of roofs, fences or planting. Check network coordination and any road occupation. Climbing is not automatically dearer than a platform; compare the proposed organisation for the site.
Specify what remains
Separate laid-down branches, retained wood, chipping and removal. Agree chip storage location and movement. Check cleanup, crew travel and weather postponement terms. A standard overhead-line surcharge does not replace coordination.
