Measure length and details
Measure installed runs and count corners, ends, curves and roses. Distinguish ordered length allowing for cuts from installed length. Check whether accessories and joints are included in the linear rate or charged separately.
Check supply and preparation
Specify reference, material, dimensions, adhesives or fixings and base repairs. Separate removal of old mouldings, repair and painting. Compare equal finish quality rather than assuming a material always requires one fixing method or a higher price.
Price lighting separately
Identify strip, power supply, controls, supports, cabling and connection, with supply responsibility. Orac says it sells profiles and adhesives, not the lighting system: an LED profile price does not automatically include LEDs. Add access, protection, cleaning and taxes.
