Separate hardware, integration and backup
Request usable capacity, power, references, interfaces, protection, wiring, installation, setup and tests. List backup and distribution-board changes separately. Check licence, subscription and connection requirements.
Include losses and tariffs
Compare avoided variable purchases with forgone export income, then account for losses, recurring fees and replacement expenditure assumed in the scenario. Test several usage and price assumptions. A higher self-consumption percentage alone does not prove net savings.
Read warranty and financing terms
Request written duration, retained capacity, energy or cycle limits, labour, transport and exclusions. Model-specific warranty terms are not a guaranteed project lifetime. Have VAT justified per item; panel treatment does not automatically extend to batteries. No unconfirmed grant is deducted.

A billing-credit service is not physical backup storage in your home. Check local availability, charges and terms without assuming it is cheaper.
