Size from surplus and demand
Have actual surplus and consumption after generation assessed. Distinguish nominal capacity, usable kWh and charging or discharging power in kW. Panel count or annual consumption alone cannot determine suitable storage.
Check existing-system integration
Identify inverter, battery, software versions and coupling method. Extra components or activation may be needed; complete inverter replacement is not a universal rule. The GEN24 guide illustrates manufacturer-specific compatibility, not approval of all brands.
Specify backup precisely
List priority circuits, simultaneous power and expected behaviour when the grid returns. Request switching, protection, charge reserve and tests. Fronius Full Backup requires suitable components; owning a battery alone is insufficient. Clarify any interruption: backup does not mean uninterrupted supply.
Choose a location meeting the manual
Have support, access, room conditions and model-specific installation requirements checked. Obtain manuals, user settings and support contacts. Do not move or alter an installed battery yourself.
