Create an itemised inventory
Number doors and drawer fronts with dimensions. List sides, fillers, plinths and inner faces to be treated. A per-door price is not comparable where surrounding surfaces or repairs differ.
Separate preparation and equipment
Distinguish cleaning, substrate repair, finish, handles, hinges and adjustment. Price appliance adaptations and disposal. Compare cabinet retention with full replacement at an explicit scope, without assuming a standard saving.
Check total and tax treatment
Include transport, protection, fitting and separate contractors’ work. Guichet.lu excludes furniture including fitted kitchens from the housing VAT concession. Do not assume replacement fronts automatically qualify for reduced VAT; ask for the offer’s tax treatment to be explained.
