Quote: access control
E.g.: residence badge, gate electric strike, apartment building keypad

List doors, authorised people and useful schedules. Describe existing locks and the person managing access. Then choose badge, code or another method by required functions, distinguishing opening from passage monitoring.
Define rights before equipment
Identify residents, staff, visitors and contractors with zones and schedules. Ask how rights are added, suspended and deleted. Badges and codes may be individual or shared depending on the system; technology alone does not define access policy.
Assess each door
Have lock, closing, power and building constraints checked. Clarify power, network and software failure. Exit arrangements and safety must be assessed for the particular door, not selected from a generic rule.
Plan ordinary incidents
Demonstrate lost badge, forgotten code, departing occupant and temporary entry. Assign permission changes and assistance when the manager is absent. Confirm local and remote-service-dependent functions.
Limit records to justified needs
Where applicable, GDPR Article 25 requires purpose-limited personal data by default, including retention and access. Justify passage logs and define authorised readers and deletion. A used credential does not establish the holder’s identity with certainty.
Receive management capability
Test allowed and refused rights, revocation and planned failure modes. Obtain inventory, instructions and agreed administrator access. Document handover to a new manager and maintenance procedure.

On quotation
Compare equipped doors, lock alterations, permission management and recurring services. A standalone keypad is not a remotely administered system. Detail supply, installation, setup, training and replacement credentials.
Subsidies and grants
No grant is deducted from the budget shown here. If a quote mentions support, request the exact scheme and confirmation of your eligibility before including it in financing.
Frequently asked questions
Is a keypad code always shared?
No. Individual revocable codes depend on the model.
Does a badge prove who entered?
No. It may be lent or used by someone else. An event alone does not prove identity.
Must every entry be stored?
Do not assume so. Assess need, applicable rules, retention and access before enabling logs.
Will the door open without power?
Device dependent. Have appropriate behaviour for the door and building assessed and tested.
