Quote: mechanical extract ventilation
E.g.: humidity-controlled single-flow ventilation, ventilation fan replacement

State whether you are replacing a central unit or installing whole-home ventilation. Supply a plan, room list and accessible equipment references. Have airflow routes assessed before choosing a motor alone.
Choose the operating arrangement
ADEME distinguishes constant and humidity-responsive airflow. Extract-only ventilation must not be described as a balanced heat-recovery system. Ask which arrangement is proposed.
Describe the home and equipment
Identify rooms, visible inlets, central unit and known outlets without dismantling equipment. Report fireplaces, stoves, cooker hoods and communal ventilation for assessment of interactions. Confirm which components can remain.
Provide lasting access
Ask where the unit and maintenance access will be located. Specify exposed ducts, boxing, penetrations and noise treatment. Agree a schedule after inspection without a guaranteed standard installation time.
Agree completion checks
Request checks, handover documents and maintenance instructions for the installed model. Clarify local procedures and permissions for shared property or façades. French references do not establish regulatory compliance in Luxembourg.

On quotation
Replacing a unit and creating a complete system are different scopes. Compare equipment, ducts, air inlets, external discharge, connections and finishes separately.
Subsidies and grants
No grant is deducted from the budget shown here. If a quote mentions support, request the exact scheme and confirmation of your eligibility before including it in financing.
Frequently asked questions
Can I replace only the motor?
Have the model and ductwork checked. Replacing a unit alone does not establish correct operation of the complete system.
Does humidity control guarantee savings?
Request a comparison based on the system and its use. No savings percentage is guaranteed here.
