This project concerns heating rooms through supplied warm air, replacing or supplementing existing heating. State rooms, normally closed doors, schedules and retained heating. Cooling may complement the project but does not establish winter coverage.
Define room-by-room coverage
Have heat demand and distribution assessed for every space. Do not rely on an open door to heat a bedroom without assessment. Specify airflow, unit positions and unserved-room heating. Building age alone neither confirms nor rules out suitability.
Read heating performance
The EU label distinguishes cooling and heating, including SCOP and reference climates. Request data for the exact unit combination, cold-weather output and backup heat. The label is not a forecast of your bill.
Check operating constraints
Ask about noise in planned modes, airflow direction, filter access and defrosting. For multisplit, specify simultaneous output and allowed heating/cooling combinations. Individual controls do not prove unrestricted opposite modes.
Provide for hot water and fresh air
Ordinary air-to-air units heat rooms without providing domestic hot water by themselves. Special tank combinations exist, such as Multi+; clarify the proposed function and priorities. Check home ventilation separately: air blowing does not demonstrate fresh-air supply.
Check procedures and support specifically
Identify refrigerant, contractor qualifications, applicable checks, shared-ownership permissions and municipal rules. POCH 2026 does not list a standard air-to-air category; use as main heating alone therefore does not prove grant entitlement. Request the exact scheme and confirmation.
