Quote: ground-source heat pump
E.g.: 100m vertical drilling for a geothermal heat pump

Provide parcel details, machinery access, known services, building and consumption. Describe future garden plans. Horizontal collectors versus vertical probes depends on ground, restrictions and heat demand, not a fixed ratio to floor area.
Check parcel feasibility
The Water Management Agency guide describes admissibility maps and restrictions related particularly to groundwater. Have the proposed technique and geological data assessed. Available land or an equipped neighbour is not permission for your project.
Prepare drilling permission
AGE states that geothermal drilling requires a water permit. Identify applicant, documents and any representative; obtain required permissions before work. The process is not limited to a municipal declaration. Check the drilling contractor’s approval.
Size collection and heating together
Request justification for extracted energy, power, probe number and depth or collector area, including ground assumptions. Match these to heating, hot water and emitters. Ground temperature does not imply a constant year-round COP.
Plan works and future use
Specify machinery space, excavations, penetrations, spoil and slurry management, service protection and reinstatement. Record future building, planting and access constraints for the selected system rather than a universal prohibition.
Obtain work records
Plan for as-built drawings, borehole or collector records, tests, fluid references, settings and monitoring instructions. AGE discusses collection-system checks, maintenance and documentation: buried loops do not establish freedom from monitoring. Check Klimabonus and heat-pump acceptance separately.

On quotation
Separate design and procedures, ground collection, heat pump, connections and reinstatement. A drilling metre rate without ground assumptions and scope does not make projects comparable. Request cost before support and contractual handling of unexpected conditions.
Subsidies and grants
No grant is deducted from the budget shown here. If a quote mentions support, request the exact scheme and confirmation of your eligibility before including it in financing.
Frequently asked questions
Can a small plot always accommodate drilling?
No. Assess access, geology, distances and admissibility; small final footprint does not prove construction feasibility.
Is municipal permission enough?
Address the drilling water permit with AGE alongside other applicable procedures.
Can depth be set by house size alone?
No. Request site-specific justification of collection and thermal demand.
Does efficiency stay the same all year?
No. Source and heating temperatures and system operation affect it.
Can the garden be changed freely later?
Obtain drawings and system-specific restrictions before choosing planting, buildings or surfacing.
