Check the roof before counting modules
Assess support, covering, weatherproofing, usable zones and maintenance access. Specify mounting and effects on the building. A flat roof does not automatically require ballast; integrated panels are not solely an aesthetic decision.
Connect capacity to expected generation
Request location, orientation, slope, losses and shading assumptions. PVGIS estimates generation; interpret results against site constraints. Annual output establishes neither independence nor a self-consumption rate.
Define electrical scope and responsibilities

For supported PV self-consumption under Klimabonus 2026, Guichet requires waiving regulated feed-in remuneration; market sales remain possible. Specify regime, dates and procedure. Estimated support does not justify automatic combination with a guaranteed export tariff.
