Quote: internal wall insulation
E.g.: plasterboard lining + mineral wool on a stone wall

Describe the rooms, known wall construction, damp marks and façade constraints. Supply plans and photographs of windows, radiators and sockets. Distinguish outside walls from walls adjoining unheated or heated rooms: their thermal purpose differs.
Resolve damp before covering the wall
Marks may result from water ingress, leaks or condensation. Investigate the cause and confirm suitability for the proposed assembly. A framed lining does not remedy a damp wall.
Select a complete assembly
Buildwise distinguishes vapour-open and vapour-closed systems. Assess wall, insulation and finish together; one membrane does not automatically suit every wall.
Draw junctions before installation
Request window, floor and partition details and treatment of service penetrations. The Buildwise example illustrates junctions and airtightness. Adapt it to the building without treating Belgian rules as Luxembourg requirements.
Measure the effect on rooms
Show finished thickness on a plan, relocated radiators and sockets, skirtings and door clearance. Agree which rooms must be emptied and how ventilation will work afterwards. Do not assume uninterrupted occupation.
Choose the grant route before work
Check the route with energy advice or for a single component with the approved professional. The 2026 schemes require approval in principle before works and impose building and service conditions. Do not deduct assumed support from the firm price.
Indicative prices in Luxembourg
On quotation
A lining price alone does not cover the project. Diagnosis, preparation, the complete assembly, opening junctions and relocated fittings affect the budget. Specify measured areas and finishes; no unsupported local price range is provided.
Subsidies and grants
No grant is deducted from the budget shown here. If a quote mentions support, request the exact scheme and confirmation of your eligibility before including it in financing.
Frequently asked questions
Can a damp wall be insulated?
Resolve the cause and have the substrate approved before covering it.
Is a vapour barrier always required?
It depends on the assessed assembly. Request the reasoning behind the selected system.
How much space is lost?
Request total finished thickness and a dimensioned plan; insulation thickness alone is insufficient.
Should a party wall be insulated?
Identify the adjoining space and intended outcome. Acoustic and thermal insulation are not interchangeable.
