Quote: garage and workshop resin flooring
E.g.: epoxy resin flooring for a garage or workshop

A garage floor is not specified by colour or epoxy alone. Describe vehicles, manoeuvring, storage, workbench and substances that may contact the floor. Request a documented system for these loads and the actual slab condition.
Establish loads and exposure
List vehicles, point loads, tools, water and substances. Request chemical resistance for actual products and contact conditions. The consulted Sika Garage sheet refers specific resistance questions to technical support; it does not promise resistance to every fuel or solvent.
Assess before coating
Check cohesion, previous treatments, contamination, moisture and cracks. Establish moisture cause and a compatible response rather than automatic water-repellent treatment. Specify retained joints, repairs and checks required before application.
Compare proposed systems
Request primer, resin, finish, intended thickness and permitted use. Sikafloor-264 Plus documents different assemblies and possible UV appearance changes. This does not make every epoxy equivalent or every polyurethane automatically suitable for sunlight and movement.
Combine slip performance and cleaning
INRS combines slip prevention with suitable flooring and cleaning. Define wet or oily conditions and care methods. Request a texture sample and documented performance; slip-resistant does not eliminate risk or the need to clear spills.
Plan return to use
Separate walking, parking, loads and chemical exposure. Sika distinguishes access from full cure under different conditions. Confirm timing for the installed system, protection and handover instructions.
Indicative prices in Luxembourg
On quotation
Compare assessment, preparation, repair, resin system and finishing on equal scope. Layer count or polyurethane alone does not establish higher performance or a comparable price.
Subsidies and grants
No grant is deducted from the budget shown here. If a quote mentions support, request the exact scheme and confirmation of your eligibility before including it in financing.
Frequently asked questions
Does resin withstand all chemicals?
No. Request system resistance to the actual substances and contact conditions.
Is polyurethane always preferable?
No. Compare documented assembly performance for the use and substrate.
Can resin conceal cracks?
Have their type and treatment assessed. Covering does not solve the cause.
Does slip-resistant mean no fall risk?
No. Water, grease, cleaning and use remain relevant.
When can I bring the car back?
Request driving and parking timing for the installed assembly; do not equate it with pedestrian access.
