Start with the product reference and installation method. LVT describes decorative vinyl tiles or planks, click describes a joint, and SPC a rigid core type. These are not three mutually exclusive quality tiers. Also specify whether you mean sheet flooring.
Define format and fixing
Gerflor offers bonded and click LVT as well as some loose-laid sheet ranges. Not all LVT is rigid and clicked; not every sheet product requires full bonding. Request the approved method for the chosen reference.
Survey the substrate
Request assessment of stability, flatness, moisture and retained layers. Specify repairs and finished height at doors. Rigid does not remove the need for checks; establish how old joints and visible defects will be handled.
Define the wet zone
Alpha Vinyl Pad Herringbone excludes showers, pools and rooms with integrated drains. Water-resistant does not mean suitable everywhere. Define bathroom zones, junctions and any waterproofing assembly; perimeter sealant alone does not establish a suitable installation.
Check underlay and temperatures
The same instructions prohibit extra underlay for this product with integrated backing. For any reference, specify the assembly, heating limits, sun exposure and fixed furniture. Do not add an acoustic layer simply on the assumption it improves results.
Draw joints and agree care
Buildwise calls for existing movement joints to continue through resilient flooring. Obtain the details. For sheet flooring, request a sheet and seam layout instead of assuming a seamless surface. Obtain care instructions and compatible furniture protection at handover.
