Applied profiles create frames without covering the wall in panels. Choose a layout and measure every frame before requesting quotes: room area does not determine the length of moulding needed. A full-size wall mock-up helps check proportions and obstructions.
Position frames before ordering
Draw each wall with doors, sockets, switches, radiators and furniture. Specify frame width, height and spacing, then approve full-size markings. The design may cover a whole wall or a selected area but should preserve access to equipment.
Choose the profile and fixing
Request a product reference, dimensions and sample. For curved walls, a flexible version must suit the required radius and bending direction. It does not replace preparation of an uneven surface. Orac's FAQ points to model-specific limits.
Prepare the base and joints
Have adhesion of existing finishes assessed and define removal or repair areas. Fixing adhesive and joint treatment are not interchangeable; follow the product instructions. Measure actual angles before cutting rather than assuming every joint needs a 45-degree cut.
Specify painting
Identify delivered finish and painted surfaces: profiles only, frame interiors or the entire wall. Test colour and transitions to the existing finish. Repainting the whole wall may be an aesthetic choice but should not be assumed included.
