Quote: wall microcement
E.g.: grey microcement accent wall, contemporary living room effect

Looking for a thin finish to renovate a wall? Compare complete products rather than the names microcement and béton ciré alone. The consulted Microfino sheet itself uses béton ciré and describes preparation, coating and protection. A trade name therefore does not prove one option thinner or more durable than another.
Compare identified systems
Specify manufacturer, coating reference, preparation and compatible protection. The consulted Topciment sheet dates from November 2019; request the current version for the delivered product. Do not compare a decorative layer alone with a package already including wall repairs.
Assess covering existing finishes
Supply photos of tiles or existing covering and report cracks, loose areas or damp marks. Following inspection, confirm what can remain and what needs repair. Ask how texture, joints and changes in level will be addressed. Thin does not remove the need to assess the base.
Measure the whole build-up and junctions
Request total planned thickness, including preparation and finish, at frames, sockets, niches and taps. Have junctions with retained surfaces drawn. Microfino requires structural movement joints to be respected; a continuous appearance does not justify removing them.
Approve use and appearance
Specify decorative wall, splashback or direct water exposure and obtain confirmation for the complete system. Do not infer floor suitability from a wall quote. Approve colour, grain and tool marks on a sample, then request first-use, cleaning and repair guidance.
