A mural is a composition positioned on a wall. It may be supplied in a standard format or adapted to size, as the Nobilis instructions illustrate. Approve measurements and cropping around windows, doors and furniture before ordering.
Approve the crop, not just area
Provide wall measurements including heights, widths, slopes, openings and fixed items. Place important features on a dimensioned mock-up. Ask the supplier about allowances and cropping, repeating or extending the image. Do not automatically subtract a window from ordered size; check the actual panel layout.
Choose format and customisation
Nobilis distinguishes standard and adapted designs. Request reference, material, delivered dimensions, panel count and approved preview. For your own file, have final-size quality and usage permission checked; do not assume printing transfers exclusive rights. Confirm production, delivery and installation separately.
Have the substrate accepted
Komar calls for a clean smooth and uniformly coloured base to avoid show-through. Assess old covering, texture and repairs. Textured glass cloth is not automatically suitable preparation. Report moving cracks and damp beforehand and define needed work in the quote.
Inspect before cutting
Check delivery, dimensions, tones, all panels and correspondence with the approved image. Both manufacturers call for advance inspection. Start point and order depend on the model: request a layout under its instructions rather than always starting on the left. Stop for a visible defect and contact the supplier.
Define appearance and care
A continuous image may comprise several drops; that does not remove physical joints. Agree matching, boundaries and appearance under intended lighting. Request permitted cleaning and removal guidance for the selected product. Keep reference, plan and samples without assuming an identical future reprint.
