Quote: suspended ceiling
E.g.: suspended ceiling to hide technical ducts, ceiling with recessed spotlights

Start with the purpose: conceal services, renew a surface or address a specific acoustic need. Request a plan showing finished height, equipment and maintenance access. This concerns a framed ceiling; a glued decorative covering does not automatically meet the same need.
Check height and support
Survey the existing ceiling and show finished height at windows, doors, furniture and ducts. Ask how framing will attach to a verified support and how loads will be carried. No universal minimum drop replaces this assessment.
Choose service access
Knauf distinguishes fixed ceilings and removable tiles. Identify equipment needing access and provide suitable hatches or removable elements. Approve their location and practical opening; concealed equipment requires planned maintenance access.
Coordinate lighting and ventilation
Place lights, air terminals, detectors and access on one plan. Have trades check space, supports, supply and required clearances for selected equipment. Assign connection, checks and commissioning. A spotlight opening does not necessarily include the fitting or electrical installation.
Specify the acoustic problem
Distinguish room reverberation from sound transmitted from another space. Knauf's absorbing ceilings address reverberation among other purposes; Buildwise explains sound paths through junctions. Request a solution for the actual noise and building rather than guaranteed reduction from adding mineral wool alone.
Define system and finish
Specify framing, lining, any insulation, moisture conditions and performance objectives. Beneath a roof or unheated space, request a coordinated thermal and moisture assessment beyond decoration alone. Agree joint treatment and appearance under intended lighting, with painting included or separate.
Indicative prices in Luxembourg
On quotation
Budget depends on the selected system and actual scope. Separate ceiling, any insulation, lighting, ventilation and painting. No Luxembourg average, fixed per-spot premium or automatic area discount is established here.
Subsidies and grants
No grant is deducted from the budget shown here. If a quote mentions support, request the exact scheme and confirmation of your eligibility before including it in financing.
